Derek Hegarty is a partner and head of the financial services and dispute resolution department in KPMG Law in Ireland. Derek’s areas of expertise include financial regulation, regulatory investigations and litigation. He advises organisations and their senior-management on a diverse range of regulatory and compliance issues and specialises in providing clients with strategic advice on engagements with regulators in the context of investigations and enforcement actions. Derek also advises on the resolution of commercial disputes before the courts and alternative dispute resolution forums, and represents organisations and individuals involved in disciplinary processes, including those arising from participation in professional sports.
