The firm also regularly intervenes on transactional work and ongoing compliance issues. The eight-strong Financial Services team focuses on: financial services and regulations (including investment funds), compliance, banking and finance and capital markets. Recent work includes: advising on the setting-up of a fund in the form of an investment company and targeting a maximum USD400 million, which will provide permanent equity capital to growing mid-market companies across sub-Saharan Africa; and assisting on the setting-up of the fund with a target size of USD210 million and investing in income producing real estate, real estate-related companies or companies in which the underlying investment value is linked to real estate.
