About Samantha Ward

Samantha Ward is a partner in Clifford Chance’s litigation and dispute resolution group. She heads the antitrust litigation practice in London and has extensive experience in representing defendants and claimants in follow-on and standalone competition litigation. Recently, Sam acted for EE in its successful defence of a claim by Phones 4u (in administration) against several mobile network operators alleging collusion. More recently, an appeal brought by Phones4U was dismissed in its entirety by the Court of Appeal. Sam has also had senior secondments to the CMA and Bank of England. Representing leading football agencies, she recently overturned a fee cap proposed by FIFA which was found to be an abuse and a buyers’ cartel.
