About Thomas Granetzny

Thomas Granetzny is a partner in Freshfields’ employment, incentives and pensions practice in Germany, which is recognised as being among the country’s leading pensions practices. He specialises in company pension schemes, as well as individual and collective labour law matters, particularly in connection with complex and cross-border M&A transactions and restructurings. He has been instrumental in establishing pension buyouts in Germany, and also focuses on the restructuring of pension schemes and their underlying funding arrangements. He also represents clients in pension litigation before the Federal Labor Court. Thomas regularly publishes in legal journals and speaks at national and international conferences. He is also a lecturer at the University of Bonn.
