is a founding partner of ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law. He graduated from Ankara University 1997, and was called to the Istanbul Bar in 1998. Gönenç received his LLM degree from Harvard Law School and is qualified to practise in Istanbul, New York, Brussels and England and Wales (currently a non-practising solicitor), in which jurisdictions he worked for a global law firm more than eight years before founding ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law in 2005. He heads the firm’s competition law and regulatory department and has over 20 years’ experience of Turkish competition law counselling issues.
