About Gönenç Gürkaynak

Gönenç Gürkaynak is the founding partner of ELIG Gürkaynak Attorneys-at-Law and heads the competition law and regulatory department. He has more than 25 years of competition law experience, including working as an attorney at the Istanbul, New York and Brussels offices of a global law firm for more than eight years. Gönenç represents multinational companies and large domestic clients in investigations of the Turkish Competition Authority, antitrust appeal cases and merger clearances. Additionally, he has co-ordinated various worldwide merger notifications, drafted non-compete agreements and clauses, and prepared hundreds of legal memoranda concerning a wide array of Turkish and EU competition law topics.
