About Berend Zwart

Berend Zwart is a partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s Dutch Real Estate practice. Berend is a real estate lawyer with over 20 years of experience, advising on transactions, project development, construction and leasing. He also regularly acts as counsel in disputes and (international) arbitrations in these areas. Berend’s clients are primarily (international) institutional and private equity investors, energy and industrial clients, and property developers. He has been involved in many landmark real estate, infrastructure and energy projects in the Netherlands, including the development, construction and acquisition of the World Trade Centers in Amsterdam and Utrecht, the iconic Markthal in Rotterdam, the North/South metro line in Amsterdam and a biodiesel factory at Maasvlakte Rotterdam.
