About Galiya Mustafina

Galiya Mustafina is a solicitor in Gherson’s litigation and arbitration team in London. Dual-qualified in England and Wales and in Kazakhstan, she acts in complex cross-border disputes and in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC rules, with particular experience representing sovereign states and investors in the energy, mining, natural resources, financial services and infrastructure sectors, including sanctions-related disputes. Her background combines experience at leading international law firms in London with both private practice and government service in Kazakhstan, including World Bank-funded law reform projects, giving her a distinctive insight into disputes involving states and emerging markets.
