About Emma Anderson

Emma Anderson is a partner in Gherson Solicitors LLP. Admitted as an advocate in South Africa in 2008 and called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2023, she brings extensive cross-border disputes experience across common law. Emma advises on international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, with particular strength in politically motivated commercial damages, sanctions-related disputes, asset recovery and the enforcement of arbitral awards. Her practice spans multiple sectors, including construction, banking and finance, energy and infrastructure, and she has handled high-value, multi-jurisdictional matters throughout her career. Emma is a panel member of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa.
