Leonard von Rummel is a partner at BLOMSTEIN, based in the firm’s Berlin and Brussels offices. He advises national and international clients on all aspects of international trade law, with particular expertise in cross‑border M&A transactions (FDI), export controls, sanctions, customs law, excise duties, and trade defence instruments. Leonard is also recognised as a leading expert on the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). He is widely ranked by leading legal directories and is actively involved in professional associations, including as a board member of Forum Contracting, a member of the IBA International Trade & Customs Committee and a coordinator of the CELIS German Chapter.
