About Tobias Ackermann

Tobias Ackermann is a senior associate at BLOMSTEIN, based at the firm’s Düsseldorf office. He advises German and international clients on sanctions, export control and customs law, as well as foreign direct investment screening, and represents them before the competent authorities and courts. He has particular expertise in EU sanctions, including arbitration‑related expert work. Tobias has published extensively on public international law and international investment law. He is co‑editor of the forthcoming anthology Economic Sanctions in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration (Edward Elgar Publishing) and has authored numerous journal articles and legal commentaries on EU sanctions and German international trade law.
