Matteo Beretta
focuses primarily on EU and Italian antitrust law in his practice, advising numerous major international companies on merger control procedures, and cartel and abuse of dominant position matters. He has been a partner at Cleary Gottlieb since 2014, working in the Washington and Brussels offices before transferring to the Rome office in 2001, and then to Milan where he is currently based. He is the co-author of several publications on antitrust matters, including “Il diritto della concorrenza in Italia” (Giappichelli, 2021).
