About Niclas Rockborn

Niclas Rockborn joined Gernandt & Danielsson in 1998 and heads the firm’s specialists practice group. He has more than 25 years of experience in advising on the regulation of financial institutions. His clients include entities in banking and insurance, asset management, e-money and payment institutions as well as various operators in the fintech sector. He has a particularly strong practice in fintech, the payments sector and digital assets. He also advises more broadly on matters relating to rapidly evolving rules and regulations, including the frameworks established under the PSD, GDPR, AIFMD, MiFID, CRD, the AI Act and other frameworks established as part of the European Commission’s Digital Decade Programme and its Digital Finance Package.
