About Niclas Rockborn

Niclas Rockborn is a partner at Gernandt & Danielsson and heads its specialist practice group. He has over 25 years’ experience advising on the regulation of financial institutions, with clients in banking and insurance, asset management, e-money and payment institutions, and various operators in the fintech sector. Niclas deals with data privacy issues including AML KYC designs, and customer data privacy and bank secrecy. He has a strong practice in fintech, the payments sector and digital assets, while also advising on matters including the frameworks established under PSD, GDPR, AIFMD, MiFID and CRD, the upcoming AI Act and other frameworks established under the European Commission’s digital decade programme, as well as its digital finance package.
