He has represented a wide range of clients in proceedings before the Swiss competition authorities, the European Commission and in civil courts and arbitration proceedings. He also advises clients on compliance matters of Swiss and European competition law. Other areas of practice include regulated markets (in particular, health and pharma, telecommunications and media, energy, infrastructure and transport), international trade and public procurement. Franz is chairman of the Swiss Bar Association's committee on competition law. He has published numerous articles on antitrust matters and is a co-editor of a leading treatise on Swiss competition law.
